Phoenix Arizona, April 2009.
There is no apparent recession in Phoenix; the desert is being paved as fast as concrete can be poured. Less then 10 years ago, this all wasn't here. Is it still the desert? If the desert is defined by lack of rainfall then i suppose it is. The region i live in, was once called The Eastern Woodlands but it's no longer that. Behind where i stand is a shopping center with a super Walmart, Home Depot and dozens of other stores.
