I took maybe, 30 pictures in that hour as i walked a couple miles along the rim. It was cold, misty, dreary, uplifting, dramatic. At times i couldn't see 20 feet in front of me; Mule Deer would suddenly come into view, another hiker enjoying this lucky moment would appear and vanish, leaving me alone again in the silence along one of the wonders of the planet. Did i spend too much time looking through the camera and not absorbing my surroundings; i don't think so, though it would have been a different expierience without the technology.
