Cleveland Metroparks. North Olmstead, Ohio. March, 1989.


The three ridges are one of the very rare Native American earthworks, in Northern Ohio. There may have been more at one time, but they were plowed under in the 19th century. The purpose of these is not known but speculation is that they were defensive. On the left is a steep slope, on the right, a 100 foot cliff.

i was looking at the series of shots i took up here that day, and i have to say that, yes, they all have a certain quality to them.
